    S136钢模具断裂的原因

    Reason of Fracture of S136 Steel Die

    • 摘要: 某S136钢模具在服役过程中产生断裂失效。通过化学成分分析、断口分析、显微组织观察及硬度测试,分析了该S136钢模具断裂的原因。结果表明:S136钢模具的断口主要以韧窝形貌为主,韧窝中可见大量颗粒状碳化物,晶界位置出现少量微裂纹;S136钢模具的显微组织为回火马氏体,晶界处分布着大量微米级碳化物颗粒;碳化物硬度约为11 GPa,基体硬度约为5 GPa;综合分析表明,S136钢模具断裂的原因是其晶界处存在的大量碳化物,导致材料脆性增加。

       

      Abstract: S136 steel die broke and failed during service. Through chemical composition analysis, fracture analysis, microstructure observation and hardness test, the reason for fracture of this S136 steel die was analyzed. The results showed that the fracture of S136 steel die was mainly dimple morphology, a large number of granular carbides could be seen in dimples, and a small amount of microcracks appear red at grain boundary. Microstructure of S136 steel die was tempered martensite, with a large number of micron carbide particles distributed at grain boundary. The carbide hardness was about 11 GPa, and matrix hardness was about 5 GPa. Comprehensive analysis showed that the reason for fracture of S136 steel die was the large amount of carbides existing at grain boundary, which led to increase brittleness of material.
